Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Merthyr Tydfil. This full-time, long-term role offers an exciting opportunity to work with learners across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form, starting after Easter and continuing until the end of the academic year. The successful Maths Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, planning schemes of work, and supporting students through their academic journey. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a classroom of learners in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Prepare classrooms and plan schemes of work where required.
- Deliver lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Engage students through classroom and lab-based activities.
- Manage behaviour in accordance with school policies.
- Mark work and provide feedback to support student progress.
- Attend parents’ evenings and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive learning environment.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of Maths teaching experience (exceptions for NQTs).
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent.
- Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- References covering the last two years (no gaps).
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- The right to work in the UK.
