Job Title: Maths Teacher – Secondary School
Location: Caerphilly, Wales
Salary: £173.00 per day (DOE)
Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in the Caerphilly area for the 2025-2026 academic year. The successful Maths Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form, supporting learners at various levels. This full-time, long-term role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on students’ educational journeys while enjoying a supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a classroom of learners across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form.
- Prepare and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Plan schemes of work and resources to facilitate effective learning.
- Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback.
- Organise and participate in parents’ evenings and school events.
- Support learners’ progress through personalised teaching strategies.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment following the school’s behaviour management policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve teaching practices.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of Maths teaching experience (exceptions may be made for NQTs).
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent.
- Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – assistance available.
- References covering the last two years (no gaps).
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- The right to work in the UK.
