Job Title: Maths Teacher – Secondary School
Location: Rhondda, Wales
Salary: £173.00 per day (DOE)
Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in the Porth area for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, long-term role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on students’ educational journeys while working in a supportive environment. The successful Maths Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form, supporting learners at various levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a classroom of learners across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form
- Prepare and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Plan schemes of work and resources to facilitate effective learning
- Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback
- Organise and participate in parents’ evenings and school events
- Support learners’ progress through personalised teaching strategies
- Maintain a positive classroom environment following the school’s behaviour management policies
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve teaching practices
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of Maths teaching experience (exceptions may be made for NQTs)
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent
- Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – assistance available
- References covering the last two years (no gaps)
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
