Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Caerphilly, Wales for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to support students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form, delivering engaging lessons within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Maths Teacher based in Caerphilly, your daily duties will include:
- Leading and managing a classroom of learners across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form.
- Preparing and delivering lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Planning schemes of work and resources to facilitate effective learning.
- Marking and assessing student work, providing constructive feedback.
- Organising and participating in parents’ evenings and school events.
- Supporting learners’ progress through personalised teaching strategies.
- Maintaining a positive classroom environment following the school’s behaviour management policies.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and improve teaching practices.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Maths Teacher in Caerphilly, you will need:
- At least 1 year of Maths teaching experience (exceptions may be made for NQTs).
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent.
- Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – assistance available.
- References covering the last two years (no gaps).
- A current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- The right to work in the UK.
