Job Description:
Our client, a leading children’s charity, is seeking a dedicated Residential Childcare Worker to join their team in Coalville, Leicestershire. Based at Ivan House, a new mental health residential home, this role involves supporting children and young people with complex needs in a nurturing environment that promotes recovery and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Residential Childcare Worker in Coalville, your daily duties will include:

  • Building trust and developing nurturing relationships to promote independence and wellbeing.
  • Working in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to support young people's needs.
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Documenting information accurately and ensuring records are kept up to date.
  • Ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve this within the required timeframe.
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people is desirable, but not essential with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and protection of vulnerable children and young people.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays.
