We are currently seeking a dedicated Residential Childcare Worker to join our team in Coalville, Leicestershire. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive environment, providing vital care and support to children and young people with complex needs in a newly established mental health residential home. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a nurturing environment that promotes recovery and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Residential Childcare Worker based in Coalville, your daily duties will include:
- Building trust and developing nurturing relationships to support the wellbeing and independence of children and young people.
- Working in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Accurately documenting information and maintaining up-to-date records.
- Ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Promoting a safe, therapeutic environment that supports recovery and development.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Residential Childcare Worker, you will need:
- A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve this within the required timeframe.
- Relevant experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
