We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join a reputable care home provider committed to delivering exceptional residential and nursing care. Job Title: Deputy Manager – Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) Care Home
Location: Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire
Salary: £54,000 - £55,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Registered Manager in managing daily operations of the care home
- Support the delivery of safe, person-centred care in compliance with relevant legislation and standards
- Develop and uphold a caring environment that reflects residents’ individual needs and preferences
- Ensure staff are working in accordance with the Codes of Professional Practice for Social Care Wales
- Participate in weekly management meetings to communicate residents’ needs and staffing updates
- Share on-call duties, including acting as Duty Manager, to ensure continuity of care at all times
- Support staff training and development to maintain high standards of care
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Qualified Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN
- Previous supervisory or deputy management experience within a care or nursing home setting
- Strong IT and clerical skills for effective record-keeping and communication
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Full UK Driving Licence for travel between sites (if applicable)
- Willingness to undertake in-house training relevant to the role
