Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join their care home team in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. This full-time Deputy Manager role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active PIN to support the day-to-day operations of a reputable care facility. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure high standards of care and compliance with legislation, primarily working Monday to Friday with shared on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the care home
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care in line with legislation and best practices
- Support the development of a resident-centered ethos tailored to individual needs
- Ensure staff adhere to the Codes of Professional Practice for Social Care Wales
- Participate in weekly management meetings to communicate resident and staff needs
- Share on-call duties with the Registered Manager, including acting as Duty Manager when required
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active PIN
- Previous experience in a similar management role within a care environment
- Good IT and clerical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK driving license
- Willingness to undertake in-house training as required
