Job Description:
Our client, a supportive and nurturing school in the Wirral, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant based in the Wirral, your daily duties will include:

• Mentoring and supporting one pupil or a small group of no more than six pupils, fostering positive relationships and encouraging engagement.
• Supporting classroom teachers during lessons to facilitate effective learning experiences.
• Reporting on pupils' progress and concerns, liaising with staff to ensure individual needs are met.
• Supervising pupils during non-classroom times, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
• Assisting with lesson planning, classroom preparation, and setting work where appropriate.
• Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment through behaviour management and support.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will need:

• A strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with GCSE Grade C or above in English Language and Mathematics.
• Previous experience in a similar role, such as a Teaching Assistant or support worker.
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs within an educational setting.
• Confidence in behaviour management techniques and the ability to take on additional responsibilities, such as lunchtime supervision or extracurricular activities.
• A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
