Job Title: Operations Manager (Children’s Residential Care)
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom
Salary: £60,000 DOE + car or car allowance + £3,000 starting bonus
Job Description:
We are working with a leading specialist provider of children’s residential care to recruit an Operations Manager for services across Leeds and central Yorkshire. As an Operations Manager you will help ensure homes are safe, effective, and delivering high-quality support for children and young people with EBD, challenging behaviours, Autism, and learning disabilities. This Operations Manager role offers Monday–Friday hours (9:00–17:00) with on-call duties, reporting into the Service Director and working closely with Registered Managers and the wider operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic support and operational oversight to Registered Managers across Leeds and central Yorkshire
- Report into the Service Director and collaborate with other Operations Managers to drive consistent service delivery
- Liaise with MDTs to support care planning and outcomes for children and young people
- Ensure all homes are safe, compliant, and effective in supporting children and young people
- Line manage Registered Managers and support performance, development, and service improvement
- Assist with recruitment to strengthen operational capacity
- Support referrals and contribute to effective admissions and placement processes
- Lead on operational input for safeguarding issues, working in line with relevant procedures
- Develop services, including supporting the opening of new homes
- Manage home budgets to ensure resources are used effectively
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 5 Leadership and Management
- Senior management experience is desirable, or a proven track record as a Registered Manager
- Full driving licence
