Job Title: Operations Manager (Children’s Residential Care)
Location: Preston, Lancashire, United Kingdom
Salary: £60,000 DOE + car or car allowance + bonuses
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join a children’s residential care specialist based in the Lancashire area. This Operations Manager role will oversee three homes, supporting children and young people with EBD, challenging behaviours, Autism, and learning disabilities. Two of the homes are currently open and rated GOOD by OFSTED. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic support and care to Registered Managers across the Operations Manager portfolio in Preston, Lancashire
- Report into the Service Director and work alongside the other Operations Manager team members
- Liaise with the MDT to ensure coordinated, child-centred outcomes
- Ensure all homes are safe, effective, and delivering high-quality support
- Line manage Registered Managers and support continuous improvement
- Assist with recruitment to strengthen capacity and capability
- Support referrals and contribute to effective admissions planning
- Lead on safeguarding issues in line with organisational and regulatory expectations
- Develop services, including planning and support for the opening of new homes
- Manage home budgets to ensure resources are used appropriately
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 5 Leadership and Management
- Senior management experience is desirable, or a proven track record as a Registered Manager
- Driving Licence
