Job Description:
Are you an experienced leader in the adult care sector, ready to make a significant impact? We are working with a dynamic, rapidly expanding healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional, person-centred adult residential care across Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for an executive-level Operations Manager to oversee multiple care homes, driving strategic growth, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Director and lead a team of Regional Managers to deliver high standards of care
- Manage performance, quality, and compliance across all adult care homes in your region
- Identify operational and performance issues early, developing and implementing targeted action plans
- Evaluate and uplift standards in newly acquired homes, embedding the organisation’s culture and quality benchmarks
- Set and monitor budgets for each care home, ensuring financial sustainability
- Support the Directors in shaping the company’s strategic direction and organisational culture
- Stay informed on key legislative changes affecting adult residential care
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including commissioners and local authorities
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing operations within adult residential care settings
- Successful track record leading large, multidisciplinary teams in a care environment
- Budget management expertise with the ability to optimise resources effectively
- Confident decision-maker capable of making complex HR and operational decisions
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, including working with commissioners
