Responsible Individual / Operations Manager
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £70,000 + Car
Sector: Children’s Residential Care (EBD)
We are seeking an experienced and committed Responsible Individual / Operations Manager to lead and oversee a portfolio of children’s residential homes in Liverpool, supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
About the Role
You will have overall responsibility for the operational performance, quality, and regulatory compliance of 4 children’s homes based in Liverpool. Acting as the Responsible Individual, you will ensure high standards of care, strong safeguarding practices, and positive outcomes for children, while providing effective leadership and support to Registered Managers.
Key responsibilities include:

Acting as the Responsible Individual in line with Ofsted regulations

Providing operational and strategic oversight across 4 EBD homes

Ensuring compliance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement

Supporting, mentoring, and developing Registered Managers and leadership teams

Leading on safeguarding, audits, and regulatory engagement

Working closely with senior leadership to drive stability and performance
About You
You will ideally have:

Proven experience as a Responsible Individual and/or Operations Manager within children’s residential care

Strong knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and regulations
-
Experience working with children with EBD

The ability to lead, influence, and support teams across multiple services
-
A calm, resilient, and child-centred leadership approach
