Job Title: Operations Manager & Responsible Individual (Children’s Residential Care)
Location: Derby, Derbyshire, United Kingdom
Salary: Up to £80,000 (including bonuses) + Company car (Full-time, Monday–Friday)
Job Description:
Join our client as an Operations Manager & Responsible Individual in Derby, Derbyshire and help drive consistently high-quality children’s residential services. As an Operations Manager & Responsible Individual, you will oversee compliance, quality, and safeguarding across multiple OFSTED-rated homes, working closely with Registered Managers and the wider leadership team to support the safety and wellbeing of children and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee four OFSTED-rated children’s homes in Derby, Derbyshire, ensuring all services are rated GOOD or above
- Ensure each home meets OFSTED requirements and ongoing compliance standards as an Operations Manager & Responsible Individual
- Lead and support Registered Managers across all services, providing operational direction and practical support
- Handle safeguarding concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring robust escalation and documentation
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently to support safe, effective service delivery
- Work closely with the MD and administrative teams to maintain a safe environment for children and staff
- Lead on safeguarding matters and ensure safeguarding protocols are strictly followed across all homes
Requirements:
- Essential:
- Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
- Proven operations management experience, or extensive background as a Registered Manager
- Full, valid driving licence
- Desirable:
- Experience within children’s residential care, particularly EBD homes
