Job Title: Part-time Responsible Individual (RI) – Children’s EBD Home
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire, UK
Salary: £350 - £550 per day (DOE)
Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Part-time Responsible Individual (RI) to oversee the launch of a new 3-bedded children’s home in Worksop. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to play a pivotal role in establishing a safe, compliant, and effective service for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The Responsible Individual will work closely with the director to ensure the home meets all regulatory standards from day one, supporting the team to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formally register as the Responsible Individual for the children’s home in Worksop.
- Assist with the opening and setup of the new children’s EBD home.
- Ensure the home is consistently fit for purpose and compliant with all OFSTED guidelines.
- Support the Registered Manager with recruitment, safeguarding, and policy implementation.
- Line manage the Registered Manager to ensure smooth operational delivery.
- Oversee the service’s compliance with all regulatory standards from the outset.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
- Proven experience as a Responsible Individual within children’s services.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Strong understanding of OFSTED regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to work approximately one day per week on a self-employed basis.
This is a part-time, self-employed role offering a competitive daily rate between £350 and £550. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
