The Premises Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, security, and overall management of the premises. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure that all facilities are operating efficiently and safely. The Premises Manager will lead a team, manage projects related to the upkeep of the premises, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Duties

  • Manage daily operations of the premises, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all occupants.
  • Oversee maintenance activities including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs.
  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Coordinate project management efforts for renovations or upgrades to facilities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Utilise programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for monitoring and controlling building systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.

Skills

  • Strong management skills with experience in supervising teams effectively.
  • Proficient in project management principles to oversee various initiatives successfully.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for building system operations.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics related to electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide staff members.
  • Solid mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance tasks.
  • Electrical experience is essential for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication across all levels of the organisation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
