Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School
Location: Ely, Cardiff, Wales
Salary: £92.59 per day (DOE)

Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a primary school in Ely, Cardiff. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to support the foundation phase of education, working closely with teachers to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. The successful HLTA will play a vital role in covering classes, leading activities, and ensuring pupils receive high-quality support throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Covering classes across the foundation phase, ensuring continuity of learning.
• Leading and facilitating engaging activities for pupils.
• Working collaboratively with the Class Teacher to plan and deliver lessons.
• Supporting the development of an inclusive and positive classroom environment.
• Assisting with behaviour management and pupil wellbeing.
• Contributing to the overall organisation and smooth running of the classroom.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a HLTA or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of the foundation phase curriculum.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting pupils and staff.
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are desirable.
