Join Our Client as a Principal and Lead a Growing Special Educational Needs (SEN) School

Our client, a well-established organisation, is seeking a dedicated Principal to lead a new SEN school dedicated to supporting children with learning difficulties and autism. Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the school’s vision, mission, and strategic improvement plans to elevate educational standards.
• Oversee curriculum development, ensuring high-quality teaching and consistent assessment practices.
• Manage staff recruitment, mentoring, and performance evaluations for teachers and administrative personnel.
• Oversee operational functions including budgeting, resource management, safety protocols, and daily administration.
• Foster a positive, inclusive school community by building strong relationships with parents, governors, and the wider local community.
• Ensure all regulatory and safeguarding standards are maintained to keep students safe and supported.

Requirements:

Essential:

• Senior leadership experience in education, such as Vice Principal or similar, preferably within SEN or special needs settings.
• Demonstrable success in managing staff and delivering school-wide improvement.
• A master’s degree in education or educational leadership.
• Valid teaching qualification and appropriate administrative licences.
• A valid driving licence.

Desirable:

• Experience leading SEN or autism-focused learning environments.
• Knowledge of outdoor learning approaches and behaviour management strategies.

• Experience working with children with learning difficulties and autism is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
