Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the school’s vision, mission, and strategic improvement plans to elevate educational standards.
- Oversee curriculum development, ensuring high-quality teaching and consistent assessment practices.
- Manage staff recruitment, mentoring, and performance evaluations for teachers and administrative personnel.
- Oversee operational functions including budgeting, resource management, safety protocols, and daily administration.
- Foster a positive, inclusive school community by building strong relationships with parents, governors, and the wider local community.
- Ensure all regulatory and safeguarding standards are maintained to keep students safe and supported.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Senior leadership experience in education, such as Vice Principal or similar, preferably within SEN or special needs settings.
- Demonstrable success in managing staff and delivering school-wide improvement.
- A master’s degree in education or educational leadership.
- Valid teaching qualification and appropriate administrative licences.
- A valid driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience leading SEN or autism-focused learning environments.
- Knowledge of outdoor learning approaches and behaviour management strategies.
