Job Title: Principal – Special Educational Needs (SEN) School

Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking an experienced and dedicated Principal to lead a newly established SEN school in Frodsham. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and visionary leader to shape the future of a growing school dedicated to children with learning difficulties and autism. The Principal will play a pivotal role in setting the school's direction, ensuring high standards of education, and fostering an inclusive, safe environment for pupils and staff alike. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in SEN education and senior leadership, with a passion for making a positive impact on young lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the school’s vision, mission, and strategic improvement plans
- Oversee curriculum development, ensuring high-quality teaching standards and effective student assessments
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate staff, including teachers and administrative personnel
- Manage the school’s budget, resources, safety protocols, and daily operations
- Build strong relationships with parents, governors, and the wider community to promote an inclusive environment
- Lead the development of outdoor learning initiatives, maximising the school’s outdoor space for educational benefit
- Monitor and evaluate the school’s progress towards its growth and development goals
Requirements:
- A master’s degree in education or educational leadership
- Extensive experience in teaching and senior leadership roles, such as Vice Principal or equivalent
- Valid teaching certification and regional administrative licensing
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage operational aspects of a school
- Experience working with children with learning difficulties and autism is highly desirable
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
