Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Regional/Registered Manager to lead and oversee multiple care facilities within the North-West region. Based in our regional office in Leyland, this pivotal role involves ensuring the highest standards of quality and care across all services. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to develop and maintain a child-centred approach, delivering exceptional foster care services.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Regional/Registered Manager in Leyland, your daily duties will include:

• Managing the fostering service to ensure compliance with Fostering Regulations 2011 and maintaining high standards of care.
• Leading on safeguarding policies and ensuring accurate records of allegations and investigations are kept, reporting to Ofsted and LADO as appropriate.
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve service quality and achieve organisational objectives.
• Producing monthly and annual reports for internal review and external regulatory bodies, including Ofsted.
• Working in partnership with Local Authorities to negotiate and secure placements for children and young people.
• Overseeing staff recruitment, supervision, and disciplinary processes to maintain a motivated and compliant team.
• Ensuring financial viability and managing budgets effectively within the region.
• Staying informed of legislative changes, guidance, and best practices to continually enhance service delivery.
• Participating in the on-call rota to provide leadership and support outside of standard hours.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Regional/Registered Manager, you will need:

• A recognised and accredited social work qualification with Social Work England registration.
• At least two years’ experience managing fostering services within the last five years.
• Proven leadership and staff management skills, including recruitment, supervision, and disciplinary action.
• Strong compliance record, consistently meeting KPI targets and regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication, administrative, and report-writing skills.
• Budgeting and financial management capabilities.
• Willingness to undertake NVQ Level 5 in Leadership or higher.
• High literacy and numeracy levels, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads.
