Job Description:
Our client, a leading specialist provider of care services, is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Care Home Manager to lead a dedicated team at a well-established care home in Carmarthen. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Care Home Manager, Registered Manager, or an experienced Deputy Manager looking to progress their career within a supportive and values-driven organisation. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care that complies with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the care team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care
- Promote a positive, professional, and supportive culture within the home
- Ensure resident well-being, dignity, and safety are central to all service delivery
- Maintain full compliance with CIW regulations, RISCA standards, and company policies
- Manage audits, governance, and accurate documentation to prepare for inspections
- Recruit, mentor, and develop staff, managing performance and training needs
- Oversee operational aspects, including budgets, resources, and occupancy levels
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across the home
- Build strong relationships with residents and their families
- Oversee admissions and assessments, ensuring a personalised approach
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, external agencies, and the local community
Requirements:
- Level 5 Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
- Registered with Social Care Wales (or eligible for registration)
- Previous experience as a Care Home Manager, Registered Manager, or Deputy Manager
- Strong knowledge of CIW regulations and RISCA standards
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Compassionate, organised, and resident-focused approach
