Salary: £52,000 – £56,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, plus on-call/management responsibilities as required)
Job Description
We are recruiting a Registered Care Home Manager to lead a residential care service in Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced manager (or a strong deputy ready to step up) who is passionate about delivering safe, compassionate, person-centred care and maintaining excellent standards.
You’ll take full responsibility for operational performance, regulatory compliance, team leadership, and the overall resident experience.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Care Home Manager based in Carmarthen, your daily duties will include:
- Leading and inspiring a care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and a positive workplace culture
- Ensuring full compliance with CIW regulations and RISCA standards, including audits, governance, and inspection readiness
- Recruiting, mentoring, and developing staff through supervision, performance management, and training planning
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, including budgets, resources, occupancy, and health & safety standards
- Building strong relationships with residents and families, supporting admissions and person-centred assessments
- Liaising with external professionals and agencies, promoting the service within the Carmarthen community
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Registered Care Home Manager, you will need:
- Level 5 Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
- Registration with Social Care Wales (or eligibility to register)
- Proven experience as a Care Home Manager / Registered Manager / Deputy Manager within a similar setting
- Strong working knowledge of CIW regulations and RISCA
- Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references (mandatory)
