Job Description
We are recruiting for a Registered Care Home Manager to lead a well-established residential service in Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire. This is a senior leadership role where you’ll take full operational responsibility, driving outstanding, person-centred care while developing a stable, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Care Home Manager based in Carmarthen, your daily duties will include:
- Leading and motivating teams to deliver consistently high-quality, person-centred care and positive outcomes
- Ensuring full compliance with CIW regulations, RISCA standards, internal policies, audits, and governance processes
- Managing staffing levels, recruitment, supervision, training, performance, and retention to maintain a strong culture
- Taking ownership of operational and financial performance, including budgets, resources, and occupancy
- Building strong relationships with residents, families, health professionals, commissioners, and external partners
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Registered Care Home Manager, you will need:
- Level 5 Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
- Social Care Wales registration (or eligibility to register)
- Proven management experience within a care home setting (Manager / Registered Manager / Deputy Manager level)
- Enhanced DBS Check (and satisfactory references)
