Are you an experienced and passionate leader in children's residential care? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Children's Home Manager to oversee a brand-new service in Pembrey, Carmarthenshire. This is a chance to build a nurturing and therapeutic environment from the ground up, ensuring the highest standards of care for young people.

This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with a proven track record of delivering positive outcomes for children and leading staff teams. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring it operates in full compliance with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Overseeing the successful registration and ongoing compliance of the home with CIW.

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a new team of residential care professionals.

  • Championing a child-centred approach that focuses on positive relationships and therapeutic interventions.

  • Managing all aspects of the home's operations, including budget, staff rotas, and safeguarding protocols.

  • Building strong, collaborative relationships with local authorities, families, and other professionals.

 

What We're Looking For:

 

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting.

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

  • Demonstrable knowledge of CIW regulations and inspection processes.

  • A resilient, compassionate, and highly motivated leader.

  • A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
