Location: Bargoed, Caerphilly
Salary: £35,401 per annum
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday)

Job Description
Registered Home Manager opportunity in Bargoed, Caerphilly, within a small, welcoming residential home supporting adults with learning disabilities. This is a hands-on leadership post where you’ll set the tone, build a positive culture, and ensure outstanding, person-centred outcomes in a safe, well-led environment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Home Manager based in Bargoed, your daily duties will include:

• Leading, coaching, and developing a staff team to deliver consistently high standards of person-centred care
• Ensuring strong safeguarding practice, robust governance, and full compliance with relevant care standards and legislation
• Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, audits, and quality improvement activity to maintain excellent outcomes
• Managing recruitment, supervision, appraisals, performance management, and staff wellbeing
• Maintaining safe staffing levels, producing effective rotas, and contributing to an on-call rota
• Building trusted relationships with families, external professionals, and key stakeholders
• Managing budgets and monitoring service performance, including resource planning and continuous improvement
• Overseeing safe medication management processes and responding appropriately to health-related needs

Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Registered Home Manager, you will need:

• Proven management experience within a learning disability residential setting
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the confidence to be visible, approachable, and involved
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and a clear understanding of regulatory compliance and best practice
• Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to complete) and right to work in the UK
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent) desirable
