Job Overview
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Children's Residential Home Manager to lead a brand-new residential service provision in Herne Bay. You will be an integral part of the home's future, passionate about making a difference, and committed to providing a high level of care for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per year.

Contract: Full-time, Permanent.
Responsibilities of the Registered Manager
You will be responsible for the overall management and day-to-day running of the Children's Home, ensuring high standards that exceed regulatory expectations.

Leadership and Management: Provide professional support, guidance, and supervision to the staff team. Lead and manage both employees and resources to ensure high service standards are achieved.

Compliance and Quality: Monitor and review all policies and procedures to keep in line with regulations. Take overall responsibility for the management and leadership of the home, promoting high standards of care in line with regulatory bodies.

Regulatory Knowledge: Demonstrate strong knowledge of regulatory and legislative frameworks, as well as OFSTED benchmarking and inspection requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring support and guidance during all inspections and becoming officially registered with Ofsted.

Budgetary Control: Have overall budgetary responsibility for the home, ensuring the business remains viable and meets/exceeds key performance indicators (KPIs).

Care Environment: Ensure young people receive excellent emotional and physical care levels within a safe, nurturing, and comfortable environment.

Service Growth: Ensure referrals and occupancy levels are updated and maintained regularly.
Required Skills and Experience

Management Experience: Minimum 2 years strong experience working as a Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's residential home.

Qualification (Essential): NVQ Level 5 or equivalent in children and young people/Residential Childcare (Required to be registered with Ofsted).

Knowledge: Excellent Ofsted regulatory knowledge.

Leadership Skills: Reflective staff supervision, strong managerial and communication skills, and proven experience in leadership.

Valid Driving Licence (required).

Valid Care Certificate (required).

Enhanced DBS (required).
Experience: Proven experience working with children, particularly in a care home setting.
