A brand-new Family Assessment Centre is opening in Doncaster. Developed in direct partnership with Doncaster Council, this high-priority project is being fast-tracked for an official opening in March 2026.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to join the project during the commissioning phase and help shape a flagship service from the ground up.
The Service
The facility is a large-scale, high-quality provision with the capacity to support up to 12 families. The environment is designed to provide varied levels of support:
-
5 self-contained flats for independent living assessments.
-
7 residential spaces within the main house for more intensive, shared-environment support.
A Responsible Individual (RI) is already in post to oversee the project. The focus is now on appointing a Manager to lead day-to-day operations and ensure the service is fully prepared for its first intake.

Proven leadership experience within Residential Childcare or Family Assessment settings.

In-depth knowledge of OFSTED frameworks and safeguarding procedures.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent).
-
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced commissioning period.

Direct Impact: The chance to put a professional stamp on a new service during the pre-opening phase.
-
Strategic Backing: Strong local authority support, ensuring a streamlined registration and referral process.
-
Professional Growth: Leadership of a large, diverse residential site with both flat and house-based provisions.
