Job Description:
An experienced and dedicated Registered Manager is needed to lead a new EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) care home in Bolton. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional passionate about providing high-quality care to children and young people aged 6-17. The successful candidate will oversee the operational management of a 3-bedded OFSTED-registered service, ensuring compliance, safety, and exceptional standards of care. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the EBD care home in Bolton, ensuring high standards of care and safety.
- Lead and develop a team of care staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
- Ensure compliance with OFSTED regulations and other relevant legislation.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the needs of children and young people aged 6-17.
- Maintain strong relationships with families, social workers, and external agencies.
- Monitor and improve service quality through audits, reviews, and staff training.
- Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and administrative duties efficiently.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential setting, preferably with EBD or similar specialisms.
- Strong knowledge of OFSTED regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing needs.
