  • Ofsted Excellence: Maintain a home rated at least “Good” by Ofsted by establishing and monitoring high-quality care standards in line with the Home’s Statement of Purpose.

  • Clinical Collaboration: Work within a specialist mental health framework, ideally utilising knowledge of the Mental Health Act to support children with complex emotional needs.

  • Care Planning: Develop tailored plans addressing the educational, social, therapeutic, and health needs of each young person.

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, induct, and develop a strong team. Create personal development plans and foster a culture of retention to ensure stability for the children.

  • Safeguarding & Advocacy: Act as the lead for complaints and child protection concerns. Develop systems to ensure young people are consulted about their care.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with parents, carers, social workers, and health professionals to promote the welfare of the children.

  • Commercial Management: Manage the home effectively in alignment with budget expectations and commercial targets.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a residential care setting for children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.

  • Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care is essential. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management is preferred (or must be started within 6 months of employment).

  • Specialist Knowledge: Strong understanding of trauma, SCCIF, and the needs of children with significant behavioural and emotional difficulties.

  • Skills: Proficient in budget control, resource allocation, and professional communication.

  • Licence: A Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Benefits and Career Growth

  • Wellbeing: Comprehensive Employee Assistance Service and Wellbeing Programme.

  • Company Rewards: Competitive pension, "Recommend a Friend" scheme, and team rewards including discounted family days out.

  • Stability: Join one of Europe’s largest providers of specialist care and education, offering significant long-term career prospects.
