Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and motivated Registered Manager to lead our on-site children’s homes. Our provision comprises several residential houses, each supporting 2–6 young people (aged 12–19) with complex needs, including severe social communication difficulties, complex learning disabilities, and challenging behaviour.
In this role, you will provide strong, positive leadership to a residential team, ensuring care, education, and therapy are fully integrated. You will be joining a highly skilled community supported by a Senior Leadership Team committed to your professional growth and the wellbeing of your staff.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Leadership & Culture: Inspire, mentor, and develop the residential team, creating a culture of warmth, safety, and accountability.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all houses meet and exceed Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations, and the Quality Standards.

Integrated Care: Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support for every young person.

Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, care planning, and robust risk management.

Continuous Improvement: Drive service excellence through regular supervision, training, and reflective practice.

Essential Requirements

Qualification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.

Proven Track Record: Recent and successful experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential setting, with evidence of effective leadership and supervisory results.

Regulatory Expertise: Deep understanding of safeguarding, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and the relationship between Children’s Home Regulations and KCSIE.

Resilience: A high level of mental, physical, and emotional resilience to meet the demands of a complex needs setting.
