Job Description:
Are you an experienced and values-driven leader in children’s residential care looking for a rewarding management role in Staines? Our client, a leading specialist provider of children’s residential services, is seeking a confident and dedicated Registered Manager (or a strong Deputy Manager ready for progression) to oversee the operation of a children’s residential home in Staines, Surrey. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the children’s residential home through the Ofsted registration process and ensure ongoing inspection readiness in Staines, Surrey.
- Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Embed policies, safeguarding practices, and governance systems into daily operations.
- Act as the senior safeguarding lead, overseeing quality assurance and governance.
- Support the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of staff, working closely with central recruitment teams.
- Manage staffing rotas, structures, and labour costs to meet the needs of young people.
- Provide visible, consistent leadership that promotes stability, accountability, and reflective practice.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, personal education plans (PEPs), and health action plans.
- Work collaboratively with local authorities, professionals, and commissioning teams to deliver positive outcomes for young people.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children’s Residential Care (or working towards for Deputy Managers).
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children’s residential home.
- Experience supporting Ofsted inspections and working within an inspection-led environment.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and children’s residential regulations.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams within a regulated service environment.

Additional Information:
- Core working hours Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm.
