Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home in Cranleigh, Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate professional to oversee a supportive environment for young people aged 12–19 with complex needs, including social communication difficulties, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership to a residential team, ensuring high standards of care, education, and therapy are delivered in a safe and nurturing setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire, mentor, and develop the residential team to foster a culture of warmth, safety, and accountability.
- Ensure all houses meet and exceed Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations, and the Quality Standards.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver holistic support tailored to each young person.
- Manage daily operations, care planning, and risk management to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement through supervision, training, and reflective practice.
- Embed a person-centred and autism-aware approach across all aspects of residential life.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential setting, demonstrating effective leadership and supervisory skills.
- Deep understanding of safeguarding, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and relevant regulations.
- High resilience to meet the demands of working with young people with complex needs.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
