Job Description:
Are you a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager seeking a role where your leadership truly makes a difference? Our client, a small, independent provider, is looking for a passionate Registered Manager to oversee their 2-bed children’s therapeutic home in Swansea. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a close-knit team, build meaningful relationships with young people, and enjoy a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s home in Swansea, ensuring high standards of care.
  • Mentor and support a small team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans for the two young residents, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and other relevant legislation.
  • Build strong relationships with young people, their families, and external professionals.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practice within the home.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including staff rotas, records, and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential childcare, ideally in a managerial or deputy role.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and child-first care principles.
  • Calm, resilient, and compassionate approach to leadership and care.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently.
  • Passion for improving the lives of young people and supporting staff development.
