Our client, a small, independent provider, is looking for a passionate Registered Manager to oversee their 2-bed children’s therapeutic home in Swansea. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s home in Swansea, ensuring high standards of care.
- Mentor and support a small team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans for the two young residents, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
- Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and other relevant legislation.
- Build strong relationships with young people, their families, and external professionals.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practice within the home.
- Manage administrative tasks, including staff rotas, records, and reporting.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential childcare, ideally in a managerial or deputy role.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and child-first care principles.
- Calm, resilient, and compassionate approach to leadership and care.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently.
- Passion for improving the lives of young people and supporting staff development.
