Job Title: Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home

Job Description:
A leading specialist provider in children's care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager for a 4-bed residential home in London. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and child-centred environment for young people aged 11-17 with challenging behaviour. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate leader to make a positive impact within a well-regarded, Ofsted-rated "Good" children's home in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the children's home in London.
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards.
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, implementing and embedding robust safeguarding procedures.
- Develop and oversee individualised care plans that prioritise the well-being and growth of each child.
- Lead staff recruitment, training, and professional development.
- Manage the home's budget and resources effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies and professionals.
- Be responsible for the staff rota, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven managerial experience in a residential children's home.
- Direct experience with Ofsted inspections and regulatory compliance.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or similar qualification.
- Full UK driving licence with business insurance.
- Inspirational leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Confident decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong report writing and record-keeping abilities.
- Knowledge of the Children's Act 1989 and Care Standards Act 2000.
