Job Title: Registered Manager – Residential & Supported Living

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a team in providing residential and supported accommodation for children and young people with complex needs. The Registered Manager will oversee daily operations, ensure high standards of care, and foster a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive. The role offers a chance to lead a dynamic team in Croydon, South London, with a focus on promoting independence, safety, and well-being for vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day service operations, including staffing, rota management, and resource allocation.
- Embed and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure high-quality care.
- Lead, supervise, and support a staff team, providing regular supervision and professional development.
- Develop and monitor person-centred care plans for each young person, promoting their safety, education, and independence.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and all relevant safeguarding regulations.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, families, social workers, and health professionals.
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring service delivery within financial parameters.
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota, remaining flexible to meet service needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in children’s, young people’s, or adults’ care/support services (residential or supported living).
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and motivating staff teams.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards it.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to promoting the welfare, rights, and well-being of children and young people.
