Job Description:
An established care provider is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead care services in Gillingham. This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to oversee a team, ensure high standards of care, and foster a supportive environment for residents and staff. The Registered Manager will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance within a welcoming, homely setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and monitor person-centered care services, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of residents and staff.
- Supervise and coach Deputy Managers, Team Leaders, and Senior Support Workers, promoting professional development.
- Lead recruitment, performance management, and staff training initiatives.
- Ensure all staff actions comply with care, protection, and regulatory standards.
- Manage service budgets, staff rotas, and resource allocation effectively.
- Utilize IT systems to manage incidents, quality assurance, occupancy, and training records.
- Collaborate with external agencies to promote the service and increase referrals.
- Drive continuous improvement through staff development and personal professional growth.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the care sector, ideally as a Registered Manager.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of care regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work proactively with external partners and stakeholders.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care (e.g., Level 5 Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care).
