Registered Manager – Children’s Residential (EBD)

Location: Berkshire (Reading, Wokingham, Newbury, Thatcham, Bracknell, Slough, Windsor, and Sandhurst)

Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 per annum (DOE) + Performance Bonus & Benefits

The Opportunity

Vetro Recruitment is seeking experienced and visionary Registered Managers for high-quality Children’s Residential services across Berkshire. We consistently have openings for leadership roles within services specializing in Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities

• Service Leadership: Lead the day-to-day operations of EBD children’s homes within the Berkshire region (including Wokingham, Bracknell, and Windsor).

• Compliance: Ensure all services meet or exceed the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.

• Team Development: Recruit, supervise, and mentor staff teams in Thatcham and Sandhurst, fostering a culture of professional excellence.

• Safeguarding: Maintain the highest standards of care and safety for all young people in placement.

• Strategic Improvement: Implement service improvement plans to achieve and maintain 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Essential Qualification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or currently working towards).

• Experience: Proven track record in a supervisory or Registered Manager role within an EBD or Children’s Residential setting.

• Expertise: Deep understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks and Children’s Homes Regulations.

• Leadership: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team to success.

• Mobility: Ability to work within the Berkshire area, specifically across Reading, Wokingham, Newbury, Thatcham, Bracknell, Slough, Windsor, and Sandhurst.
