## Your Core Responsibilities

• Regulatory Leadership: Take full responsibility as the "Registered Manager" under Ofsted, ensuring the home exceeds the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.

• Operational Excellence: Manage the day-to-day running of an EBD home in Newbury, maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and care.

• Staff Mentorship: Build, train, and inspire a multidisciplinary care team, fostering a culture of professional growth in West Berkshire.

• Outcome-Focused Care: Develop and oversee therapeutic care plans that deliver measurable positive outcomes for vulnerable young people.

• Strategic Networking: Liaise with local authorities and social work teams across Newbury, Reading, and the wider Berkshire area.

## Requirements & Qualifications

• Essential: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or nearing completion).

• Experience: Proven track record in a supervisory or management role within a Children’s Residential (EBD) setting.

• Knowledge: Deep expertise in the Quality Standards and Ofsted inspection framework.

• Location: Ability to effectively lead a service in Newbury or travel within the Berkshire region.
