This role is ideal for a manager who thrives in a well-connected, suburban setting. As the Registered Manager, you will lead a dedicated team in a home known for its modern facilities and commitment to therapeutic progress. Why This Role in Winnersh?

  • Strategic Connectivity: Exceptional location for managers based in Reading or Wokingham, providing easy access for a multidisciplinary staff team.

  • Competitive 2026 Package: A salary range of £56.5k – £71k, specifically weighted with a strong private benefits package and "Outstanding" Ofsted bonuses.

  • Service Stability: Manage a home with a history of local community support and a clear roadmap for achieving or maintaining 'Good' status.

  • Staff Retention: Focus on building a stable, long-term team in a sought-after residential area, reducing reliance on agency staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Therapeutic Culture: Implement evidence-based care models tailored to the needs of young people with complex emotional and behavioral challenges.

  • Operational Oversight: Manage the home's budget, resources, and staffing levels to ensure a safe, nurturing, and high-performing environment.

  • Professional Networking: Maintain key relationships with Wokingham and Reading local authority commissioners and social work teams.

Candidate Requirements

  • Essential: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.

  • Experience: Proven managerial success within a children’s residential EBD setting, with a focus on staff development.

  • Regulatory Expertise: Thorough knowledge of the Quality Standards and a successful track record with Ofsted inspections.

  • Leadership Style: A resilient, empathetic leader who can inspire a team through the challenges of residential care.
