Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Ownership: Act as the Registered Manager with Ofsted, ensuring the home strictly adheres to the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.

  • Staff Empowerment: Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary care team, providing high-quality supervision and fostering a culture of professional excellence.

  • Therapeutic Culture: Oversee the implementation of specialist care plans, ensuring that every young person’s emotional and behavioral needs are addressed through trauma-informed practice.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Maintain robust relationships with local authorities in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, ensuring a collaborative approach to resident outcomes.


Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (completed or nearing completion).

  • Experience: Proven success as a Registered Manager or a highly experienced Deputy within an EBD children's residential setting.

  • Regulatory Track Record: A thorough understanding of the current Ofsted inspection framework and a history of achieving 'Good' or 'Outstanding' results.

  • Personal Attributes: A resilient, professional, and empathetic leader who is passionate about delivering the highest quality of care.
