Key Responsibilities

  • Ofsted Registration: Hold legal accountability as the Registered Manager, ensuring the service consistently meets and exceeds the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.

  • Therapeutic Leadership: Foster a culture of trauma-informed care, providing the team with the tools and mentorship needed to support young people with challenging behaviors.

  • Operational Management: Oversee the home's daily operations, including recruitment, budget management, and the implementation of robust safeguarding protocols.

  • Collaborative Networking: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Buckinghamshire Council, local police, and mental health services to ensure a holistic support network.


Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

  • Experience: Proven success as a Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy in an EBD children’s residential setting.

  • Regulatory Expertise: A thorough understanding of the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF) and a history of positive regulatory outcomes.

  • Resilience: A passionate and grounded leader who can navigate the complexities of urban residential care with a calm and professional demeanor.
