A unique opportunity has arisen for a quality-focused Registered Manager to lead a specialist EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) service in the historic and well-connected village of Chalfont St Peter. This role is ideal for a leader who values the autonomy of managing a boutique-style home within a community that offers both a peaceful environment and excellent local resources.

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for fostering a therapeutic "sanctuary" for young people. You will lead a dedicated staff team with the objective of delivering high-impact, trauma-informed care while navigating the home toward an 'Outstanding' Ofsted status in this sought-after South Bucks location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Ownership: Act as the Registered Manager with Ofsted, ensuring the home strictly adheres to the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and current Quality Standards.

  • Staff Leadership: Recruit, supervise, and inspire a multidisciplinary care team, promoting a culture of professional resilience and empathy.

  • Therapeutic Stewardship: Oversee the implementation of specialist, individualized care plans, ensuring the emotional and behavioral needs of every young person are met.

  • Collaborative Liaison: Build and maintain professional relationships with Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire local authorities, ensuring cohesive support networks for the residents.


Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (completed or nearing completion).

  • Experience: Proven track record in a management or senior supervisory role within an EBD children’s residential setting.

  • Regulatory Expertise: A thorough understanding of the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF) and a history of achieving positive Ofsted outcomes.

  • Commitment: A passionate leader who is dedicated to improving the life chances of vulnerable young people through high-quality residential care.
