A superb opportunity has arisen for a quality-driven Registered Manager to lead a specialist EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) service in Wantage. Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: Act as the Registered Manager with Ofsted, ensuring the home consistently meets or exceeds the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.

Staff Mentorship: Lead, supervise, and inspire a multidisciplinary care team, fostering a culture of professional excellence and trauma-informed practice.

Quality & Safety: Maintain a "safety-first" culture, ensuring that safeguarding protocols are robust and that the home is always ready for internal and external audits.

Collaborative Liaison: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Oxfordshire County Council and other placing authorities to ensure cohesive care planning.
Candidate Requirements

Education: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or nearing completion).

Experience: Proven managerial success within a children’s residential EBD setting.

Regulatory Knowledge: A thorough understanding of the current Ofsted inspection framework and a history of achieving positive regulatory outcomes.

Leadership Style: A grounded, empathetic leader who can manage the day-to-day complexities of residential care with a calm and professional approach.
