A premier opportunity has arisen for a high-caliber Registered Manager to lead a specialist EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) service in the vibrant market town of Thame. As the Registered Manager, you will lead a flagship service that emphasizes therapeutic innovation and community integration. You will have the platform to build a multidisciplinary team and drive the home toward an 'Outstanding' Ofsted status, utilizing Thame's excellent local resources and professional networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Ownership: Act as the Registered Manager with Ofsted, ensuring the home strictly adheres to the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.

  • Staff Mentorship: Lead, supervise, and inspire a stable care team, fostering a culture of professional excellence and clinical-led practice in Thame and the surrounding area.

  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring that safeguarding protocols are robust and that every young person’s care plan is meticulously delivered.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain high-level relationships with Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire local authorities, ensuring a cohesive and collaborative support network for residents.


Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.

  • Experience: Proven track record in a management role within an EBD children’s residential setting.

  • Regulatory Expertise: A thorough understanding of the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF) and a history of achieving positive inspection outcomes.

  • Leadership Style: A resilient and articulate leader who can represent a high-standard service with total professionalism and empathy.
