Job Title: Registered Children's Home Manager

Salary: Up to £53,664 per annum + £10,000 performance-related bonus
Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a new children’s home in Ilminster, Somerset. As the Registered Children's Home Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of this innovative home, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and positive outcomes for the children in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s home in Ilminster, Somerset.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team, fostering professional development and team cohesion.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and Ofsted requirements.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to promote positive outcomes.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for regulatory bodies and senior management.
Requirements:
- Passion for working with children and young people, with experience in residential childcare.
- Current or willingness to pursue a QCF Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare.
- Minimum of two years’ recent supervisory or management experience within a Registered Children’s Home.
- Strong understanding of children’s legislation, regulations, and Ofsted standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with partners and key stakeholders.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Enhanced DBS check (funded by Homes2Inspire).
