Job Description:
We are recruiting a Registered Manager – Learning Disabilities (LD) Children’s Home to lead a brand new Learning Disabilities (LD) children’s home in Newport. This Registered Manager role is a solo-occupancy service, giving you the opportunity to deliver highly individualised, person-centred care from day one. The Registered Manager – Learning Disabilities (LD) Children’s Home position is ideal for experienced Adult LD Managers looking to transition into children’s residential care, with full support to complete the required children’s qualification and registration process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register and manage a brand new solo-occupancy LD children’s home in Newport as the Registered Manager – Learning Disabilities (LD) Children’s Home
  • Lead and develop a specialist residential care team within the Registered Manager service
  • Ensure compliance with CIW regulations and safeguarding standards for the Registered Manager – Learning Disabilities (LD) Children’s Home in Newport
  • Deliver high-quality, outcome-focused, person-centred care as the Registered Manager
  • Oversee care planning, staffing, rotas, budgets, and audits for the Registered Manager – Learning Disabilities (LD) Children’s Home
  • Work closely with a supportive senior management team to embed strong practice from the start

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Registered Manager, Home Manager, or Deputy Manager
  • Adult Learning Disabilities management experience welcomed for this Registered Manager – Learning Disabilities (LD) Children’s Home in Newport
  • Willingness to complete and/or progress children’s residential qualifications to support registration
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory frameworks
  • Passion for developing a new service and achieving excellent outcomes in Bridgend as the Registered Manager – Learning Disabilities (LD) Children’s Home
