Job Title: Registered Manager – Mental Health

Salary: £45,000 Basic up to £55,000 OTE
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a residential service in Merthyr Tydfil. This role is ideal for a Registered Manager who brings integrity, humility, and a strong understanding of what outstanding care looks like. As the Registered Manager in Merthyr Tydfil, you will oversee day-to-day operations and ensure high-quality support for people with complex needs, predominantly mental health, with some mild learning disabilities and brain injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the residential service in Merthyr Tydfil, ensuring safe, effective and person-centred care
- Oversee service delivery, quality assurance, and team performance within the home
- Promote independence, choice and respect for individuals supported in Merthyr Tydfil
- Manage people, service and quality standards, driving continuous improvement
- Maintain strong awareness of CIW legislation, updates, changes and best practices
- Lead with positive values and uphold a culture of integrity and accountability
- Work with autonomy, excellent organisation, and strong time management to meet service needs
Requirements:
- Experience in a leadership role within residential care
- Commitment to supporting people to live lifestyles of their choosing
- Broad experience managing people, service and quality, including learning disabilities
- Demonstrable positive values and the ability to promote independence, choice and respect
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work on own initiative
- Good awareness of CIW legislation and best practice
- Hold or be working towards a Level 4 or 5 qualification
