Job Description:
Are you an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager seeking a leadership role in Newbury? Our client, a leading specialist provider of children’s residential services, is looking for a committed professional to oversee their Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) service in Newbury. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a team, implement therapeutic models, and drive the service towards an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full regulatory responsibility as the Registered Manager under Ofsted, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Manage the daily operations of an EBD home in Newbury, maintaining high standards of safeguarding and care.
- Build, train, and motivate a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of professional development in West Berkshire.
- Develop and oversee therapeutic care plans that deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable young people.
- Liaise with local authorities and social work teams across Newbury, Reading, and the wider Berkshire area.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or nearing completion).
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a Children’s Residential (EBD) setting.
- Deep understanding of the Quality Standards and Ofsted inspection framework.
- Ability to lead a service effectively in Newbury or travel within the Berkshire region.
