Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a specialist Children’s Residential Home for young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in the picturesque village of Bramley. This role offers the chance to manage a nurturing environment in a rural setting, providing stability and therapeutic support to young people on the Hampshire/Berkshire border. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of service delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a community-focused atmosphere that promotes growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume full legal responsibility as the Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Recruit, supervise, and mentor a high-performing care team, promoting a culture of resilience and empathy.
- Oversee the delivery of personalised care plans, ensuring each young person’s voice is heard and their needs are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, including Hampshire and West Berkshire, to support cohesive care planning.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a management or senior supervisory role within a children’s EBD residential setting.
- Deep understanding of the Quality Standards and a successful track record of managing Ofsted inspections.
- Resilient, empathetic, and professional leadership skills, with the ability to manage a rural service effectively.
