Job Description:
Are you an experienced Children’s Home Manager seeking a leadership role in Berkshire? Our client, a leading provider in children’s social care specialising in Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), is looking for visionary Registered Managers to oversee residential services across Wokingham, Berkshire. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the "Registered Person" to ensure the home complies with all legal and regulatory standards.
- Lead, recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing care team dedicated to providing exceptional support to young people.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment that promotes the well-being of vulnerable children.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, social work teams, and other stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement to achieve and maintain 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings.
Requirements:
- NVQ/Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or nearing completion).
- Proven experience managing or supervising within an EBD children’s home.
- Expert-level understanding of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- A track record of achieving or working towards 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings.
